Pastoral Manager – Sheffield

£150-£180 per day | Full-Time | Immediate Start

CER Education are recruiting an experienced and committed Pastoral Manager to work within a school in Sheffield.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in pastoral support, behaviour, attendance, inclusion or learning mentoring who is passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning.

As Pastoral Manager, you will play a key role in supporting pupils’ behaviour, wellbeing, attendance and engagement, working closely with students, families and school staff to help pupils achieve their potential.

The Role

As a Pastoral Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing effective pastoral support to pupils across the school
  • Supporting students with behaviour, attendance, punctuality and engagement
  • Building positive and professional relationships with pupils
  • Identifying barriers to learning and putting appropriate support in place
  • Managing and responding to behavioural incidents in line with school policies
  • Monitoring attendance, behaviour and pupil progress
  • Working closely with teachers, SEND staff and senior leaders
  • Communicating effectively with parents and carers
  • Providing 1:1 mentoring and targeted interventions
  • Liaising with external agencies and other professionals where appropriate
  • Promoting positive behaviour, resilience and emotional wellbeing
  • Maintaining accurate records relating to pastoral interventions and pupil support

These responsibilities reflect the type of Sheffield pastoral-management experience found in your existing recruitment material, including attendance and punctuality, behaviour management, parental liaison, mentoring and external-agency support.
