The Role

As an Upper KS2 Teaching Assistant, you may be supporting pupils in Years 5 and 6 with their learning, development and wellbeing. Depending on the role, responsibilities may include:

• Supporting pupils with their learning and development across the curriculum
• Working with individuals and small groups to provide additional support
• Supporting the class teacher with classroom activities and preparation
• Helping to create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment
• Supporting pupils’ social, emotional and behavioural development
• Building positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents/carers where appropriate
• Contributing to the wider life of the school

What We’re Looking For

We’re interested in hearing from Teaching Assistants who:

• Have experience working with children in a school, education or childcare setting
• Have a genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development
• Are reliable, adaptable and enthusiastic
• Can build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• Are able to work effectively as part of a team
• Have a good understanding of safeguarding and professional responsibilities
