CER Education is looking for confident and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors in Gravesend to work across secondary schools in Gravesend and the surrounding areas.

About the Cover Supervisor Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll supervise classes when the regular teacher is absent. Lessons and resources will already be prepared, so your focus will be on keeping pupils engaged and maintaining a positive learning environment.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Supervising pre-planned lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Managing classroom behaviour effectively
• Keeping students focused and engaged with their work
• Supporting pupils who may require additional help
• Providing feedback to teaching staff following lessons

What We’re Looking For

You don’t necessarily need to be a qualified teacher. We’re looking for people who are confident, reliable and comfortable working with young people.

Ideally, you’ll have:

• Experience working with secondary-aged pupils or young people
• Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A professional and positive approach
• A commitment to safeguarding and pupil welfare
• Reliable transport to schools across Gravesend and surrounding areas
