CER Education is looking for passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistants to support our partnership schools across Hampshire, including Southampton, Eastleigh, and Winchester.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Teaching Assistants, Learning Support Assistants (LSAs), SEN Teaching Assistants, and graduates looking to gain classroom experience while enjoying the flexibility of temporary work.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students’ learning and development across Early Years, Key Stage 1, Key Stage 2, Key Stage 3, and Key Stage 4.

You will work closely with teachers and support staff to help create an engaging, inclusive, and positive learning environment where every student can thrive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support teaching and learning across a range of subjects and year groups
  • Assist students with additional needs, including those with EHCPs and SEN requirements
  • Adapt learning activities to support individual student needs
  • Encourage student participation, confidence, and engagement
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
  • Work flexibly across different school settings

What We’re Looking For

We’re keen to hear from candidates who have:

  • A Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant education-based experience
  • Previous experience supporting children or young people in a UK school setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A positive, patient, and proactive approach
  • The ability to adapt quickly to different schools and classroom environments
  • A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development
