CER Education is currently recruiting teaching assistants to work across primary schools in the Southport area of Sefton. We have both day-to-day supply and long-term roles available from September, making this a great opportunity for individuals looking for flexible work that fits around their availability and career goals. We offer a competitive day rate of £92.59-£110 per day.
Job responsibilities
- Support pupils in the classroom, working 1:1 or with small groups to deliver engaging learning activities.
- Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities, helping to create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to class teachers.
- Promote positive behaviour and help manage classroom routines, including supervising activities and break times.
- Support pupils with additional needs where required, helping them build confidence, independence and engagement in learning.
Preferred skills
- Previous experience in a teaching assistant role or working with children.
- A relevant qualification in education is desirable but not essential.
- An enhanced DBS on the live update service is required, or willingness to apply for one through CER.
