Cover Supervisor – Rotherham

£100-£120 per day | Flexible Supply Work | Immediate & September Starts Available

CER Education is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to support a variety of secondary schools across Rotherham and the surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain valuable classroom experience, work flexibly around other commitments, and make a positive impact on young people’s education.

We are also currently recruiting Cover Supervisors in Sheffield, Doncaster, Barnsley and Worksop.

About the Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will oversee classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff, ensuring students remain engaged and on task with pre-planned work.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering pre-prepared lessons across a range of secondary school subjects
• Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Encouraging student engagement and participation
• Supporting pupils with additional learning needs, including SEN requirements
• Maintaining a positive and productive learning environment
• Providing feedback to teaching staff on lesson progress and pupil behaviour
• Upholding safeguarding and welfare standards at all times

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• Experience working with young people in a school, coaching, tutoring, mentoring or youth work setting
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• Confidence leading groups of students aged 11-16
• A positive, adaptable and professional attitude
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
• Access to your own transport or the ability to travel reliably across Rotherham
