Intervention Tutor – Enfield
Monday to Thursday | 8:45am-5:00pm | Term Time | Immediate Start
CER Education are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Intervention Tutor to join a specialist college team in Enfield. This four-day role is ideal for someone passionate about helping young people and adult learners build confidence and make progress in English, Maths and their vocational assignments.
You will deliver targeted one-to-one and small-group intervention, working closely with teaching and learning support teams to ensure each learner receives the right strategies and adjustments to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support in English, Maths and assignment completion
- Identify learners who need additional intervention and plan suitable sessions
- Work with vocational tutors and the Skills Development team to reinforce key learning
- Prepare engaging learning materials, schemes of work and support schedules
- Track learner progress, maintain accurate records and contribute to reports
- Support Functional Skills or GCSE delivery where required
- Promote positive behaviour, inclusion and a safe learning environment
About You
- Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths
- Experience working in an education or training environment
- Experience supporting learners with learning difficulties
- Confidence supporting Functional Skills, GCSE or vocational learning from Entry Level to Level 3
- Strong communication, organisation and ICT skills
- A resilient, inclusive approach and a clear commitment to safeguarding
- A relevant degree, professional qualification or equivalent experience is desirable
- A teaching or SpLD qualification is welcomed; support may be available to work towards accreditation
