Are you looking for a rewarding role where you can make a real difference to children’s learning and development? CER Education is currently recruiting for teaching assistants to support pupils in primary schools across the Crosby area of Sefton.
We are recruiting for both day-to-day supply and longer-term teaching assistant opportunities starting from September. Whether you already have classroom experience or are wanting to start a career in education, these roles offer flexibility and the chance to build valuable experience in primary school settings. The daily rate is £92.59-£110 per day, depending on experience and is paid weekly.
Job responsibilities:
- Encourage positive behaviour and support daily classroom routines, including break-time and activity supervision.
- Work with pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups to help them access learning and stay engaged in lessons.
- Provide additional support for pupils with SEND or other individual needs.
- Assist the class teacher with lesson preparations, delivering activities and maintaining an inclusive classroom environment.
- Observe pupil progress during learning activities and share relevant updates with teaching staff.
Preferred skills:
- Experience supporting children, either in a school, childcare or similar setting.
- A relevant education or teaching assistant qualification would be beneficial, although it is not essential.
- An enhanced DBS on the live update service, or a willingness to apply for one through CER.
