Exam Invigiltor
Pay per hour: £14 – £15
Are you looking for a flexible role that fits around your existing commitments? We are seeking reliable and observant individuals to join our team of Exam Invigilators across secondary schools in the Wirral.
This is a vital role in the school calendar, ensuring that all internal and external examinations are conducted fairly, quietly, and in strict accordance with JCQ (Joint Council for Qualifications) regulations. It’s an ideal position for retirees, university students, or anyone looking for part-time work during the busy summer and winter exam seasons.
Setting the Stage: Assisting with the setup of the examination room, ensuring all papers and materials are correctly laid out.
Upholding Integrity: Monitoring students during the exam to prevent any malpractice or talking, and ensuring a calm environment.
Administrative Support: Handing out and collecting exam papers in a secure and organised manner.
Student Support: Escorting students who need to leave the room temporarily and providing basic assistance (such as checking for stationery or water).
Reliability: Punctuality is essential, as exams must start and finish at strict times.
Attention to Detail: An ability to follow complex instructions and regulations precisely.
Communication: A calm but authoritative presence to give instructions to large groups of students.
Availability: Flexibility to work during the main exam windows (typically May, June, and January).
Local Work: Placements available in various schools across the Wirral peninsula.
Training Provided: You will receive full training on current exam regulations, so no prior experience is necessary.
Low Stress: A focused, quiet role that doesn’t involve planning or heavy physical labour.
Community Impact: Helping local students have a fair and stress-free environment to achieve their best.
