1:1 Teaching Assistant – North Liverpool, Walton

We are exclusively retained with a 2 form entry Primary School in the Walton area of Liverpool, who are seeking a committed, kind individual to work on a 1:1 basis supporting a child in KS1 with ASD needs.

The role would entail supporting the child within school, providing a sense of comfortability and fun within an inclusive learning environment.

This would be a full-time position, commencing from 20th November 2023 and will continue until July 2024

Job Responsibilities

• Working hours 8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
• Uphold Safeguarding at all times, promoting a happy and healthy learning environment.
• Have good behaviour management with a focus on positive reinforcement
• Plan and deliver tailored interventions to improve pupil attainment
• Liaising with the relevant class teachers and providing support where required

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with children, particularly those with SEN/Disabilities
• Relevant childcare qualification
• Confidence supporting children and young people with different types of Special Educational Needs
• Understanding of Safeguarding
• Have a DBS on the update service or be willing to complete and pay for a new DBS application
