CER Education Recruitment is currently recruiting compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with Special Educational Needs across a range of primary schools in Rotherham.

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential. The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with a variety of additional needs, including:

• Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
• Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
• Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
• Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
• Moderate and Severe Learning Difficulties

Your responsibilities may include:

• Providing 1:1 and small-group support
• Assisting pupils to access learning activities and the curriculum
• Supporting the implementation of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
• Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation
• Building strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families
• Working closely with teachers and SENCOs to support individual learning goals
• Creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment

What We’re Looking For

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Experience working with children or young people with additional needs
• A patient, caring, and resilient approach
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to build trust and positive relationships with pupils
• A proactive attitude and willingness to adapt to different school environments
• Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
