Teaching Assistant
Location: Huyton, Liverpool
Start: September 2026
Daily rate: £92.59 – £110, depending on experience.
CER Education is recruiting Teaching Assistants to work within primary schools across Huyton, Liverpool and nearby areas from September 2026.
This opportunity would suit someone who is passionate about supporting children and helping them thrive in a classroom setting. Whether you have previous experience in a school or are considering a move into education, CER can provide flexible day-to-day supply opportunities as well as longer-term roles that fit around your availability and future plans.
Role responsibilities:
- Supporting the class teacher with lessons, daily routines, break times and movement around school.
- Delivering 1:1 and small-group support to encourage pupil engagement and progress.
- Assisting with classroom resources, lesson preparation and activities to create a positive learning space.
- Helping pupils with additional needs where needed, encouraging confidence, independence and involvement.
Preferred skills (not essential):
- Experience in education or working with children would be an advantage.
- A relevant childcare or education qualification would be helpful, although this is not essential.
- An enhanced DBS on the update service, or the willingness to complete a new DBS application through CER.
