Position: Key Stage 1 Teacher
Location: Huyton
Salary: £100 – £160 per day (dependent on experience) & paid to scale post AWR
About the Role:
As a Key Stage 1 Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching children in Year 1 and Year 2, ensuring they develop essential skills and a love for learning. This role offers the chance to inspire and engage students through creative and interactive lessons, laying the groundwork for their future education.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
Support students in developing strong literacy, numeracy, and social skills.
Foster a positive classroom environment that nurtures each child’s individual growth.
Collaborate with teaching assistants and other staff members to ensure all students receive the necessary support.
Monitor student progress through regular assessments and provide constructive feedback.
Build strong relationships with parents and guardians, keeping them informed of their child’s progress.
Take part in professional development opportunities and contribute to the wider school community.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with specialisation in Key Stage 1.
Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, although Newly Qualified Teachers are encouraged to apply.
Strong understanding of early childhood development and the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
Excellent communication and organisational skills, with a focus on creating an inclusive learning environment.
Up-to-date DBS check and knowledge of safeguarding policies.
