CER Education are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 6 Teacher to join a two-form entry Catholic Primary School in Sefton for a maternity cover. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a vibrant and supportive school community committed to providing high-quality education.

About the Role:

Position: Year 6 Maternity Cover Teacher

Duration: Maternity cover (up to 12 months)

Responsibilities:

  • Planning and delivering engaging and challenging lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Assessing, tracking, and reporting on the progress of pupils.
  • Supporting students’ academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Preparing students for their SATs and ensuring they achieve their full potential.
  • Working collaboratively with the Year 6 team and other staff members to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Communicating effectively with parents and carers regarding student progress.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Proven experience teaching Year 6 or upper KS2, with a good understanding of the SATs process.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • A commitment to maintaining high standards of teaching and learning.
  • The ability to uphold the Catholic ethos of the school and engage with the school community.
