Work Experience Coordinator

Harrow, London
Up to £165 per day
Education, Education and Training
Part Time

Our client requires an experienced WEX Co-ordinator to play a key role in providing support for a lovely school in Harrow for their Work Placement Programmes. The role will include sourcing employers for Year 10 and Year 12 for their agreed work experience dates for 5 days for each age group. It will include the compliance for the placements and matching the students to the employers.

We are expecting 3 to 4 days a week from the commencement of the project, which could be imminent, to the actual last date that the students go out on WEX which would be around the week of 23 June, 2025.

We would be keen to have a candidate who has supported Work Experience Programmes for secondary schools previously either working through an agency or working as a school employee who is capable of achieving and exceeding all targets and company standards of performance.

The candidate must be responsible for identifying, securing and delivering work placement opportunities for students, across multi-curriculum areas, in line with targets. Develop and maintain long standing and strategic relationships with Employers and Schools. They must be prepared to work with the school to support the matching of students to the work placements and to monitor the respective dates of delivery for the students to ensure all students arrive at their employer on the agreed date.

The client has been providing work experience programmes to local schools for many years and needs a strong support for this very important project. The work will be most remote but may need onsite presence at times.

You will have:

  • A CIAG qualification would be beneficial but not mandatory
  • Mandatory experience as a WEX Coordinator previously
  • Recent experience working with work experience programmes in a secondary school environment
  • Recent experience of careers provision in an academic environment
  • Excellent LMI knowledge
  • A proven track record of consistently good/outstanding achievements.
  • The ability to engage and support schools in the delivery of their WEX programmes.
  • The ability to help manage and support local employers who have agreed WEX placements.
  • Excellent report writing, administration, IT, organisation and time keeping skills
  • A valid DBS registered with the online update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
