Teaching Assistant

Job Title: Teaching Assistant – 1:1 SEND support

Location: Lydiate, Sefton

Start Date: February 2026 – July 2026

Pay – £445 to £530 ( weekly ) ( inclusive of holiday pay )

Rate of pay is dependent on level of qualifications, experience, and additional training

CER Education is supporting a 2 form entry Primary school in Lydiate, Sefton in recruiting a FULL TIME Teaching Assistant to work in on a 1:1 basis with a child with SEMH needs – Early Years setting.

This role will start in February ( after successful interview process ) and will run potentially for the full academic year to July 2026 .

There will also be some general classroom support element to your role.

What you’ll need

• Teaching Assistant qualification with classroom based experience in Early Years
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Good communication skills and ability to work independantly and as part of a team
• To support the class teacher and work on a 1:1 basis with pupils with SEND needs
• Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one
