Job Title: Teaching Assistant

Location: Huyton, Knowsley

Start Date: January 2026

Pay – £445 to £530 ( weekly – inclusive of holiday pay )

CER Education is supporting a 2 form entry Primary school in Huyton, Knowsley in recruiting a FULL TIME Teaching Assistant to work in Key Stage 2.

This role will start in January 2026 and will run potentially for the full academic year to July 2026 .

You will be supporting across the Key Stage 2 age range and on a 1:1 basis with a pupil with SEND needs. There will also be some general classroom support element to your role.

What you’ll need

• Teaching Assistant qualification with classroom based experience in Key Stage 2 – although we will consider applicants with experience in KS1/ KS3
• Relevant and recent classroom based experience – Primary/ Secondaty/ SEND Schools
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Good communication skills and ability to work independantly and as part of a team
• To support the class teacher and work on a 1:1 basis with pupils with SEND needs
• Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one
