Job Title: Teaching Assistant – Key Stage 1

Location: Crosby, Sefton

Start Date: January 2026 – July 2026

Pay – £445 to £530 ( weekly ) ( inclusive of holiday pay )

Rate of pay is dependent on level of qualifications, experience, and additional training

CER Education is supporting a 2 form entry Primary school in Crosby, Sefton in recruiting a FULL TIME Teaching Assistant to work in Key Stage 1 – Year 1

This role will start in January 2026 and will run potentially for the full academic year to July 2026 .

You will be supporting across the Key Stage 1 age range and on a 1:1 basis with a pupil with SEND needs/ ASD needs

There will also be some general classroom support element to your role to as you will be working alongside other TA’s across a Key Stage 1.

What you’ll need

• Teaching Assistant qualification with classroom based experience in Key Stage 1 – Level 2/ Level 3 desirable
• Experience of working with children with SEND needs
• Good communication skills and ability to work independantly and as part of a team
• To support the class teacher and work on a 1:1 basis with pupils with SEND needs
• Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one
