Job Title: Teaching Assistant – Early Years

Location: Huyton, Knowsley

Start Date: January 2026 – July 2026

Pay – £445 to £530 ( weekly ) ( inclusive of holiday pay )

CER Education is supporting a 3 form entry Primary school in Knowsley in recruiting a FULL TIME Teaching Assistant to work in Early Years – Reception class.

This role will start in January 2026 and will run potentially for the full academic year to July 2026 .

You will be supporting across the Early Years Key Stage range and on a 1:1 basis with a pupil with SEND needs/ personal care. There will also be some general classroom support element to your role to as you will be working alongside other TA’s across a busy Foundation Stage.

What you’ll need

• Teaching Assistant qualification with classroom based experience in Early Years
• Experience of working with children with SEND needs – ASD/ADHD/Global delay
• Good communication skills and ability to work independantly and as part of a team
• To support the class teacher and work on a 1:1 basis with pupils with SEND needs
• Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one
