Experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant | South Sheffield

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive school in South Sheffield for an immediate start. This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside passionate educators and make a real impact on the lives of children with a range of needs, including ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition), SCLN (Speech, Language and Communication Needs), and complex learning profiles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality education to all pupils.
  • Provide tailored support to students individually or in small groups, enabling them to access the curriculum as independently as possible.
  • Assist in organising the classroom environment, resources, and displays to create a stimulating and inclusive learning space.
  • Support students with sensory needs, implementing sensory diets and self-regulation strategies as advised by professionals.
  • Maintain accurate records in line with school policies and regulatory standards.
  • Stay up to date with subject knowledge, educational practices, and SEND-related developments.
  • Liaise with colleagues across departments to ensure a consistent and cohesive approach to student support.
  • Promote and maintain a safe learning environment, reporting any hazards or incidents promptly.
  • Adhere to all school policies, particularly those relating to safeguarding, child protection, behaviour, and complaints.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
  • Experience supporting children with ASC, SCLN, and/or complex needs.
  • A valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
