SEN Teaching Assistant
CER is working in partnership with a large secondary school based in Shipley, to recruit a full time SEN Teaching Assistant. This role is temporary to start in October 2024 on an ongoing basis. Hours are 8am to 4pm.

They are particularly looking for enthusiastic, empathetic, reliable and resilient individuals who have the ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with pupils and effectively engage with them in all their lessons.
The main aspect of the role will be supporting pupils with Cognition and Learning needs both in the Resourced Provision and in some mainstream classes. You will provide support to pupils in small groups and help them to navigate the school between lessons. Primarily you will work closely with the class teachers to support pupils in lessons and help to prepare and lead some interventions throughout the week. You will be under the direction of the Resourced Provision leader but will be required to liaise with faculties around school, working with them to personalise resources and assist in with the tracking of progress of pupils in the Resourced Provision.
Their Resourced Provision is situated in an-18 mixed comprehensive school which is a vibrant, modern learning environment with outstanding facilities and within easy reach of Leeds, Huddersfield and Wakefield.
