Teaching Assistant – 1:1 and Group Work

Salary: £83.33 – £100 per day
Minimum Qualification: Level 2 in Working with Children or equivalent
Start Date: September 2024
We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join the team at a multiple form entry primary school located in Southport. The role involves working closely with pupils in both 1:1 settings as well as within group environments.
Key Responsibilities:
– Provide individual support to pupils to enhance their learning and development
– Assist in planning and delivering engaging group activities and lessons
– Support the class teacher in implementing educational programs and strategies
– Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all pupils
– Collaborate with colleagues and parents to ensure the best possible outcomes for students
Qualifications and Skills:
– Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant is preferred
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
– Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
– Relevant qualifications in educational support or a related field is desirable
