Full-Time & Long-Term role located in a Secondary Alternative Provision in Rotherham

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher of Science to join a secondary alternative provision setting, working full-time on a long-term basis via our agency. This role involves working with children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, providing engaging and supportive science education. The aim of the setting is to help integrate these children back into their mainstream secondary schools over a period of weeks. Class sizes are around 6-8 children, and there may be a need to help out with cover of other subjects as and when required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality science lessons tailored to meet the needs of students with SEMH needs.

  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.

  • Implement strategies to support emotional regulation and promote positive behaviour.

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure student progress and wellbeing.

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.

  • Experience working with children with SEMH needs.

  • Strong knowledge of the science curriculum.

  • Effective behaviour management skills.
