Teacher of Design Technology

Location – Wirral Start Date: ASAP

Pay: £168 – £232 (dependent on experience & role)

CER Education is recruiting a Design & Technology Teacher to work in secondary schools across the Wirral area. This role is suitable for ECTs and explained teachers, with opportunities to teach a range of DT subjects within supportive departments.

The Role:

You will be responsible for delivering Design & Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4 with the opportunity to teach specialism such as Resistance materials, product design, food technology or engineering depending on experience. The role involves planning practical and theory based lessons, maintaining a safe and well managed workshop or classroom environment and supporting pupils to develop creativity, problem – solving skills, and technical knowledge. You will work closely with departmental staff and follow school polices to ensure high standards of teaching and behavior.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status or working towards it.
  • Experience teaching Design & Technology in a UK secondary school
  • Confident classroom and behavior management skills.
