English Teacher – Durham

Start Date: Easter 2026 – but can start immediately if available

Pay: £168.80 – £261.78 – Paid to Scale from day 1 | Weekly Pay

CER Education is currently recruiting a passionate and committed English Teacher to work in a fantastic secondary school in Durham. The role is due to start after the Easter holidays but could start as early as 2nd March 2026 for the right candidate.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive school with a positive learning environment. The role is expected to run until at least December 2026, with the potential to be extended beyond this.

The Role:

• Teaching English across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)
• Planning and delivering engaging lessons
• Marking and assessing in line with school policies
• Supporting pupils to achieve their full potential
• Working collaboratively within a welcoming English department

Who Can Apply:

• Suitable for ECTs and experienced teachers
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience teaching English in UK secondary schools (training placements considered for ECTs)
• Strong classroom management skills
