Supply Sports Coach and Cover Teacher

Location: Secondary Schools in Rotherham, South Yorkshire

Role Overview: As a Supply Sports Coach and Cover Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality PE lessons as well as providing cover for various subjects when needed. You will inspire students to excel in sports while ensuring their overall academic progress is maintained during cover periods. You must be confident and happy to cover other subjects as well as Physical Education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and inclusive PE lessons that cater to students of all abilities.
• Provide cover for absent teachers across a range of subjects, ensuring continuity of learning.
• Foster a positive learning environment that promotes teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth.
• Adapt teaching methods and resources to meet the diverse needs of students.
• Uphold school policies and procedures, maintaining a safe and orderly learning environment at all times.

Requirements:

• Desirable: Qualified sports coach with relevant coaching certifications (e.g., FA Level 1, UKCC Level 2, etc.).
• Desirable: Full UK driving licence
• Essential: Experience working with children and young people in a coaching or teaching capacity.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
• Flexibility to work on a full-time, long-term basis or part-time and day-to-day shifts as required.
• Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain) and a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
