CER Education are looking to expand our team of dedicated Special Needs Teachers to support one of our valued partnership schools in Bedford. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact by teaching students with a wide range of special educational needs, including PMLD, MLD, and complex learning difficulties.
Whether you are an experienced SEND practitioner or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to begin your journey in SEND, we have supportive opportunities available to help you grow and excel.
About the Role
As a Special Needs Teacher, you will:
- Deliver creative, engaging and differentiated lessons across the curriculum
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs outlined in students’ EHCPs
- Build positive relationships with pupils across a range of SEND provisions
- Promote active learning and independence through varied teaching methods
- Assess pupil progress and provide meaningful feedback
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to whole‑school SEND development
- Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom where every student feels valued
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- QTS, QTLS, or an equivalent teaching qualification
- Experience teaching in UK schools (references required)
- Experience supporting or teaching pupils with special educational needs
- Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
- A passion for inclusive education and the ability to inspire learners
- Flexibility, resilience, and a positive approach
