We are working with a large SEND School in the Sefton area who are seeking to appoint a number of Teaching Assistants to start in Septmber on a temporary bt on-going basis. The school provides to support to pupils aged 11 to 16 with a diagnosis of Autism. You will be required to work with pupils across the whole school and be expected to support during lessons, lunch time and with outdoor and off site activities. It is essential that you have a good understanding of supporting children with Autism and are familiar with Educational Health Care Plans (EHCPs).

The role is to start in September 2024 and will be offered on a full time basis, however we are happy to consider part time applicants with strong SEND experience.

  • Have previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant.
  • Have previous experience working with pupils with ASC and challenging behaviour
  • Have eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident.
  • Have at least 6 months school based experience of working in a UK SEND school setting.
  • Two suitable references covering the last 2 years.
  • Hold a current DBS that is registered with the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
