CER Education is looking for a caring and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Huddersfield. In this vital role, you will work closely with students who have a range of special educational needs, ensuring they receive the support required to access the curriculum and achieve their best in an inclusive and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

– Provide one-on-one and group support to students with special educational needs

– Assist with learning activities and help students engage with lessons

– Work closely with teachers to manage classroom behaviour and create a positive environment

– Help implement education care plans (ECPs) and track student progress

– Ensure a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning atmosphere for all students

– Participate in the wider school community and support extracurricular programs

Requirements:

– Previous experience working with children, ideally in an SEN setting

– Patience, understanding, and the ability to connect with students

– Strong communication and teamwork skills
