Job Title: Science Teacher

Contract Type: Full-time, Fixed-Term (Guaranteed pay)

Pay: £130 to £251.71 per day

A well-established and supportive trust in the York area is seeking a dedicated Science Teacher to join their team from September 2025. This full-time, fixed-term role will initially run until the Easter break, with the view to becoming permanent for the right candidate.

The school has consistently received positive feedback, with a friendly staff team and effective systems in place.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Plan and deliver inspiring, engaging lessons
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
• Create a positive learning environment that supports student achievement

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent UK teaching qualification
• Experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Commitment to raising attainment and enthusiasm for Science
