About the Role
We are seeking an inspiring and dedicated Psychology and Criminology Teacher to join our secondary school in Doncaster, starting in February 2025. This is a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic educator with a passion for these subjects to make a meaningful impact on students at Key Stages 4 and 5. The successful candidate will bring their expertise to a growing department, fostering critical thinking and a deep understanding of human behaviour, criminological theories, and societal issues.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and informative lessons as a Psychology and Criminology Teacher, aligned with the curriculum requirements.
  • Inspire students to explore complex topics, encouraging them to develop analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Monitor and assess students’ progress, providing constructive feedback to help them achieve their best.
  • Contribute to a collaborative and supportive department, sharing resources and innovative teaching strategies.
  • Engage with students’ learning journeys, supporting their academic and personal development.
  • Participate in school events, professional development opportunities, and departmental meetings.

About You

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialisation in Psychology and/or Criminology, or a closely related field.
  • Experience teaching Psychology and Criminology at the GCSE and A-Level (or equivalent) is desirable.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for making Psychology and Criminology accessible, relevant, and engaging for all students.
  • Excellent communication skills and a commitment to creating an inclusive, positive classroom environment.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, as well as independently.
  • A proactive approach to professional growth and a genuine enthusiasm for helping students succeed.
