Teacher of Music – KS3 & KS4 (ECTs & Experienced Teachers Welcome)

Location: Sunderland

Start Date: ASAP

Contract: Until December (with potential to extend up to a full academic year)

Salary: £168.80 – £261.78 depending on experience (from day one)

CER Education are working exclusively with a secondary school in Sunderland to recruit a Teacher of Music to teach KS3 and KS4. Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced teachers are both encouraged to apply. This role is starting ASAP and is initially until December, with the potential to continue for a full academic year.

The Role:

  • Teaching Music across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
  • Planning and delivering engaging, high-quality lessons
  • Assessing, tracking, and supporting pupil progress
  • Working collaboratively within a supportive department

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold a UK teaching qualification (or equivalent)
  • Have experience teaching Music in a secondary school (ECTs welcome)
  • Hold a DBS on the update service or be willing for CER to arrange a new one
  • Be passionate about Music education and committed to student progress
