Position: MFL Teacher (Modern Foreign Languages) – Full-Time, Long-Term Supply Contract

Location: Secondary School, Doncaster

Salary: Competitive, Dependent on Experience

About the Role:

Are you a dynamic and passionate Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Teacher eager to inspire and educate students in a diverse and engaging subject area? We are currently recruiting for a full-time MFL Teacher to work on a long-term supply contract at a vibrant secondary school in Doncaster. This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) to make a significant impact on students’ language learning journeys.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engaging Lessons: Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in Spanish and French making language learning accessible and enjoyable for all students.
  • Curriculum Contribution: Collaborate with the MFL department to develop and enhance the curriculum, ensuring it meets the needs and interests of students.
  • Student Assessment: Regularly assess students’ progress, providing constructive feedback to support their language development and confidence.
  • Classroom Management: Create and maintain a positive and productive learning environment, encouraging respectful and enthusiastic participation.
  • Professional Development: Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated with the latest teaching methods and language education trends.

About You:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): You must hold QTS and have a relevant degree in Modern Foreign Languages or a related field.
  • Language Proficiency: Proficiency in at least one modern foreign language (French, Spanish, German) with the ability to teach up to GCSE.
  • Passion for Languages: A genuine enthusiasm for languages and a commitment to inspiring students to achieve their full potential.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • Welcoming ECTs: We welcome applications from Early Career Teachers who are looking to start or further their teaching careers in a supportive environment.
