About Us:
We are looking for an ambitious and energetic Maths Teacher with excellent communication skills to join one of our schools in Sheffield. This is a full-time role which will begin September 2024 and will be an ongoing and long-term position.

Job Overview:
The successful candidate must be able to deliver lessons that develop students theoretical and applied mathematical skills. You will also be responsible for assigning homework and documenting students progress.

Our ideal candidate is someone with a solid background in mathematics and educational methodologies and is passionate about teaching and empowering students. Previous experience working as a Maths Teacher is essential. ECT’s are welcome and encouraged to apply.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant teaching experience
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons
• Subject knowledge
• Excellent communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging lessons in accordance with the national curriculum.
• Evaluate student performance and provide timely, constructive feedback.
• Cultivate a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes active learning.
• Work closely with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the school’s development.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to support student achievement.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Recognised teaching qualification and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Solid understanding of the national curriculum and its application in the classroom.
• Strong passion for teaching and a commitment to student success.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and adapt to various teaching scenarios.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
