Learning Manager – Year 9 (Pastoral Role)

Secondary School Setting

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Learning Manager for Year 9 to join our pastoral team and play a key role in supporting students during a crucial stage of their secondary education.

Key Responsibilities

• Acting as the key pastoral contact for students in Year 9
• Supporting students’ behaviour, attendance, wellbeing, and engagement with learning
• Monitoring progress and identifying barriers to learning
• Working closely with the Head of Year, tutors, SEND, safeguarding, and teaching staff
• Supporting students through pastoral interventions and mentoring
• Liaising with parents/carers to support student outcomes
• Maintaining accurate pastoral records and reports
• Contributing to behaviour management, restorative conversations, and reintegration support
• Promoting a positive, inclusive year-group culture
