Are you passionate about making a difference to the lives of young people and their families. Working within an Alternative Provision in West Yorkshire, you will be responsible for mentoring pupils that have a range of social and emotional mental health needs and supporting with their learning and development.

As an inclusion support worker at this inclusive school in West Yorkshire, you will offer more than classroom support. You will make connections and help students form and develop positive relaitionships with thier peers and adults. This includes:

  • Offering support to pupils that face challanges with social and emotional behaviours.

  • Supporting pupils that are dysregulated during lessons.

  • Helping those who need extra support.

  • Educating the pupils on how to form positive relationships with peers.

  • Completing records

  • Taking the lead on specific activities and sessions within and outside of the classroom.

  • Providing learning routines at school, in the community and in the family home.

Requirements include:

  • Experience working with children and young people.
  • Experience of working with students with additional needs
  • Experience of working with students with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties.
  • Transferable skill such as experience of Youth Work, Sports Coaching and Mentoring would be highly beneficial.
  • Candidates must have a right to work in the UK with UK experience of working with young people.
