Job Title: ICT Teacher

Location: Durham

Job Type: Full-time, Temporary (June 2025 – July 2026)

We are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic ICT/Computing Teacher to join a well-resourced and supportive school in Durham. The role involves teaching ICT/Computing across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

The successful candidate will deliver engaging and well-structured lessons, using practical and theoretical approaches to spark curiosity and enthusiasm in learners. You will work collaboratively within a strong department, contribute to curriculum development, and support a culture of high achievement.

Key Responsbilities:

  • Plan and deliver inspiring science lessons that cater to students of all abilities
  • Use a range of teaching methods, including practical experiments, to develop students’ understanding
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing targeted feedback
  • Promote a positive learning environment that supports student wellbeing and behaviour expectations
  • Engage in professional development and contribute to departmental planning
  • Participate in school life, including parent evenings, school events, and enrichment activities

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or UK-recognised teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching ICT/Computing at KS3 & KS4
  • Excellent subject knowledge and classroom management skills
  • Ability to provide teaching references from recent school roles
