Job Title: English Teacher

Location – Wirral

Start Date: February 2026 through to July 2026.

Pay: £168 – £232 per day

CER Education is working in partnership with a welcoming secondary school in Wirral to recruit a passionate and dedicated English teacher. This is an excellent opportunity for an ECT or experienced teacher looking to make a real impact within a supportive English department.

They are looking for someone who can be dynamic alongside being reflective on their teaching.

Pay rate is dependant on pay scale, evidence of this will need to be provided.

The Role:

• Plan & deliver engaging English lessons across KS3 & KS4
• Inspire pupils through literature, language and creative writing
• Assess and track pupils progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement

Requirements:

• Qualified teacher status
• Experience teaching English in a UK secondary school
• Strong knowledge and enthusiasm for English
• Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
• A DBS on the update service.
