We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join our team at one of our Chesterfield Schools.

The English Teacher will be responsible for teaching and expandingstudents’ knowledge and understanding of the English language. Duties will include preparing lesson plans, teaching students, evaluating their performance, maintaining classroom discipline, and staying updated on the latest teaching materials and methodologies.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant teaching experience
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons
  • Subject knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons that cater to a diverse range of abilities and learning styles.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback to support their academic development.
  • Create a positive classroom atmosphere that promotes respect, inclusivity, and a love of learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and curricula.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, professional development, and school events to contribute to the overall success of the school.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and behaviour.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Recognised teaching qualification and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Solid understanding of the national curriculum and its application in the classroom.
  • Strong passion for teaching and a commitment to student success.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and adapt to various teaching scenarios.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
