About the Role

We are partnering with a well-regarded secondary school in Rotherham to find an exceptional DT teacher. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and innovative lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering creativity and technical skills among students. This role is perfect for a teacher who is enthusiastic about hands-on learning and committed to educational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality Design and Technology lessons that cater to a range of abilities.
• Inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential in both theoretical and practical aspects of DT.
• Develop and implement a dynamic curriculum that encourages creativity and problem-solving skills.
• Assess, record, and report on students’ progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
• Maintain a safe and stimulating classroom environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall learning experience and share best practices.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Proven experience teaching Design and Technology at the secondary level.
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for DT.
• Excellent classroom management skills.
• Ability to engage and inspire students.
• Commitment to continuous professional development.
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
