Job Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Design Technology Teacher to join a welcoming and well-resourced secondary school in Newcastle. The role begins in January 2026 and will run for two terms initially, with the potential for extension. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate specialist to deliver engaging and creative lessons across KS3 and KS4

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality Design Technology lessons
• Prepare practical sessions and maintain a safe learning environment
• Assess, track and report on student progress
• Contribute to curriculum planning and department development
• Support the wider school community and participate in department activities

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS)
• Experience teaching Food Technology is essential
• Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for the curriculum
• Effective classroom management and communication skills
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students
