About Us: Join our team of dedicated educators in Doncaster working as a school Cover Supervisor. We pride ourselves on fostering a dynamic and inclusive learning environment and our client schools are committed to providing high-quality education and nurturing the potential of every student.

Position Overview: We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to join our secondary schools in Doncaster. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the continuity of education for students during teacher absences. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about education and looking to gain valuable classroom experience. As part of this role, you are expected to cover lessons across all secondary school subjects. All lessons are pre-planned and left for you to deliver as an unqualified class teacher.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage classrooms in the absence of the regular teacher.
  • Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure students remain focused and engaged.
  • Maintain a positive learning environment and manage classroom behaviour.
  • Support students with their learning and address any questions or concerns.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff and report on student progress and behaviour.
  • Uphold the school’s policies and ethos at all times.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience working with young people, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to different classroom environments.
  • A genuine interest in supporting students’ learning and development.
  • Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths (A-C grade) or equivalent; further qualifications in education are advantageous.
