CER are currently recruiting an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support a community orientated Primary School in Bootle. This is a part-time role starting in September and represents an ideal role for confident TAs looking for meaningful work in a supportive school environment. The role requires 3 days a week in school and there is a heavy emphasis on both pastoral and intervention work.

Requirements

  • Be caring, resilient and patient
  • Have experience working with children or young people (ideally in a primary school setting)
  • Strong classroom/behavioural management skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain)

Responsibilities

  • Provide intervention support for KS1/KS2 with numeracy/literacy
  • Support students in lessons, either individually or in small groups
  • Promote positive behaviour and participation in learning
  • Contribute to the wider school community and engage in pastoral support
