Daily rate: £92.59 – £110, depending on experience.
CER Education is looking for Teaching Assistants to support primary schools in Ormskirk, Liverpool and the surrounding area starting from September 2026.
This role is ideal for anyone who enjoys working with children and wants to make a positive difference in the classroom. Whether you already have school-based experience or are looking to start a new career in education, we can offer flexible day-to-day supply work as well as longer-term placements to suit your availability and career plans.
Role responsibilities:
- Working alongside the class teacher to support pupils during lessons, classroom routines, break times and transitions.
- Providing 1:1 and small-group support to help children stay engaged and make progress.
- Helping to prepare resources, organise lesson activities and maintain a welcoming learning environment.
- Assisting children with additional needs where required, promoting confidence, independence and participation.
Preferred skills:
- Previous experience within the education sector or working with children is desired.
- A relevant education or childcare qualification would be beneficial but is not essential.
- An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to complete a new DBS application through CER.
