Geography Teacher

Skelmersdale, Lancashire
£140 - £211 per day
Education
Full Time

CER Education are supporting one of our Skelmersdale based secondary schools who are looking to appoint a Humanities teacher that mostly specialises within Geography but would still feel comfortable teaching some History.

This position is due to start in January 2024 and continue until Easter in the first instance but it could continue for the full academic year.

This position has a timetable heavily weighted to KS3 Geography with only a very small handful of KS4 classes. This is a full time role and will require you to have experience teaching Geography but experience teaching or covering History would also be beneficial. There will be no part time option with this position.

As this role is on a longer term basis with planning and assessment responsibilities, you will be paid to scale on the Main Teaching Pay Scale. You can therefore expect rates of pay between £140 and £211 per day.

As a school they have an outstanding senior leadership team with an experienced and stable Humanities department who will be there to provide you with continued support and guidance. They are a school at the heart of the local community with superb provision academically and socially for their students. We have always received excellent feedback from a variety of teaching staff who have taught at this school on a longer term basis with many becoming permanent members of staff.

You will ideally have QTS, QTLS or a relevant teaching qualification that allows you to teach mainstream secondary school students.

If you already work for another education agency, you will qualify for a £300 bonus purely for securing this role with CER.

If you have any further questions about this position or would like a more informal chat, please contact Jordan on 0151 242 6051. You can also apply for this role by providing your most up to date CV in response to this advert.
