CER Education is recruiting PE Technicians to support primary and secondary schools across Sheffield. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with a strong interest in sport, fitness, and education to play a vital behind‑the‑scenes role in delivering high‑quality PE lessons across all Key Stages

This role is ideal for those looking to gain experience in schools, work closely with PE departments, and support student engagement in physical education.

About the Role

As a PE Technician, you will provide practical and organisational support to the PE department, helping lessons run safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities include:

• Setting up and clearing down PE equipment and facilities
• Maintaining, checking, and organising sports equipment
• Supporting PE staff during practical lessons when required
• Ensuring equipment is safe and ready for use
• Assisting with fixtures, events, and extracurricular activities
• Following health & safety and safeguarding procedures

About You

Ideally, you will have:

• Experience working with young people, sport, or in a school environment
• A practical, hands‑on approach and good organisational skills
• An interest in sport, fitness, or physical education
• Ability to follow health & safety guidance
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
• Ability to travel to schools across Sheffield (driving preferred but not essential)
