CER Education are looking to recruit dedicated and experienced SEND Teaching Assistants to work across a range of primary schools in Rotherham. If you’re passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and want a role where every day makes an impact, we’d love to hear from you.

About the Role

As an SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide 1:1 and small‑group support for pupils with a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and speech & language difficulties
• Adapt quickly to new primary school environments and work flexibly across different settings
• Support pupils in the classroom and during interventions to help them access learning
• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff to deliver inclusive and high‑quality learning
• Build positive, supportive relationships that help children feel safe, confident, and ready to learn

What We’re Looking For

• Experience working with SEND pupils in a primary school environment (essential)
• A calm, patient, and nurturing approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs

Requirements

• A valid Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
• At least two references covering the last two years
• Previous experience working in a UK school
