About the Role:

CER is seeking an enthusiastic Finance Assistant to join one of the Primary Schools we work with in Luton to provide essential support within a busy finance department. This is an exciting opportunity to work across a range of financial tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance while contributing to the smooth running of operations. If you are detail-oriented and passionate about finance, this role is perfect for you.

Roles and Responsibilities:

– Process orders

– Bank reconciliations

– Assist with day-to-day financial operations, including processing invoices and payments

– Support month-end and year-end reporting activities

– Maintain accurate financial records and data entry

– Liaise with internal teams and external suppliers to resolve queries

– Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations

Ideally You Will Have:

– A finance-related qualification or relevant experience

– Prior experience working in a UK-based finance role (references required)

– Strong numerical and analytical skills

– Excellent communication and organizational abilities

– Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and finance software
