Salary: Paid to scale (£168.80 – £261.78)

Job Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Health & Social Care Teacher to join our team in Sunderland from January 2026 until the end of the academic year. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to deliver high-quality teaching and support learners at KS4 and/or KS5.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Health & Social Care lessons
• Assess and track student progress
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment
• Contribute to curriculum planning and department development
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff
• Uphold safeguarding and pastoral responsibilities

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS)
• Experience teaching Health & Social Care (KS4 and/or KS5)
• Strong subject knowledge
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• Commitment to supporting young people’s development
