Location: Multi-Academy Trust, Rotherham – Secondary Education
Salary: £85.00 – £120.00 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract: Term-time only

Our agency is partnered with a large Multi-Academy Trust in Rotherham who are looking to recruit dedicated and reliable Cover Supervisors to join their team.

About the Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring continuity in students’ education during teacher absences. Working across various academies within the Trust, you will supervise classes, support students’ learning, and manage classroom behaviour to uphold a positive and productive learning environment. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are interested in working within the education sector, whether you’re looking to start your career or bring in previous experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and activities in the absence of teaching staff.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively, fostering a safe and respectful learning environment.
  • Support and engage students with a range of needs, ensuring all can participate in the lesson.
  • Work flexibly across secondary academies in Rotherham, adapting to the individual cultures and needs of each school.

What We’re Looking For

To work as a Cover Supervisor, we welcome applicants from all backgrounds who are confident, approachable, and have a genuine interest in education. Ideally, you will have:

  • Experience working with young people in a school setting (desirable but not essential).
  • Backgrounds such as sports coaching, music tuition, swimming teachers etc are welcomed.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • The ability to manage groups of students and resolve issues in a calm, constructive manner.
  • Flexibility and a willingness to work across different schools.
